Environmental Surveys

Environmental compliance is a concern during mining operations. Mining processes produce toxic waste that can result in groundwater contamination and soil contamination. Acidic solutions sometimes overflow beyond the concession boundaries and the extend of the impact must be surveyed and assessed. AMSLOG undertakes environmental surveys of areas that have been impacted environmentally due to any kind spillage to enable you have a 2D view of the impacted area and develop environmental impact statements and reports and also view environmental changes over a given period of time.

Environmental surveys allow the assessment of a wide range of activities which may impact on the landscape. These impacts include pollution, contamination and other human impacts within a variety of terrains from peatland, to farmland to urban areas. Through a wide range of techniques and methodologies we can assist in environmental assessment and monitoring for example where a product spillage has occurred or in the development of water management schemes.
Our experience enables us to deploy a range aerial mapping and geophysical techniques which allow assessment of the sub-soil, sediments and bedrock, important when assessing the nature and effect of a product spillage. Continuous depth information can be obtained enabling the mapping of potential pollution pathways or an irregular bedrock surface.

To work in a more ethical and environmentally friendly way, It is important for land developers and mining companies to perform environmental surveys to ensure they have the lowest possible impact on the environment.
